Keep both hands firmly on the machine and position your body and arms to be ready to resist kickback. The force of the
kickback can be controlled by the operator if proper precautions are taken.
When the blade locks or when cutting is interrupted for any reason, release the switch and hold the machine on the material
you are working on until it comes to a complete stop. Never attempt to remove the disc from work or back off the machine
while it is in motion. Kickback may occur. Investigate and correct the cause of the disc lock.
When restarting the machine, center the disc on the cut and verify that the edges are not in contact with the material. If
the disc is stuck, it could end or kick back when starting.
Secure large panels to minimize the risk of jamming and kickback. Large panels tend to bend under their own weight.
Supports should be placed under the panel near the line of cut and near the edge of the panel.
Do not use a blunt or damaged disc. Blunt or inappropriate discs produce narrow cuts, which in turn cause excessive
friction, lock the disc and cause kickback.
The cutting angle and depth locks must be adjusted securely before cutting. If any of these settings move during the cut it
may cause jamming and kickback.
Take extra precautions when making a cut on a wall or place with the back not visible. The disc may encounter objects
that may cause kickback.
