Special Features
Using this nit with E a r n e s t
When this unit is connected with Earnest
Series products (A-H500 amplifier, T-H500
tuner, R-H500 tape deck, MD-H500
minidisc deck, etc.), CD synchronized
recording is available with a minidisc deck
or a tape deck.
© Be sure to connect the in/out cords and
the remote control cords correctly.
Power supply
When connected with Earnest Series
products, the power to this unit is turned
on/off at the same time as the stereo
system.
Power on: indicator lights yellow.
Standby : indicator lights red.
Remote Control Unit RC-612 (provided with
Earnest Series products)
This unit can be operated with the Remote
Control Unit used with Earnest Series
products.
@ Single tune repeat playback is
unavailable.
© The [shuffle] and [disc skip] buttons do
not function.
Direct tune selection
When a tune is selected directly using the
numeric buttons on the RC-612, the first
number pressed is entered in the ten's
place. Pressing a numeric button again
while the cursor is blinking enters the
number in the one's place.
Example: Press 2, then 3 to select the 23rd
tune of a disc consisting of 24 tunes.
@ Approx. 4 sec. after pressing a numeric
button once (while the cursor is
blinking), the selected tune number will
be played back.
@ Dimmer button
When connected with the T-H500 tuner,
pressing the [ dimmer ] button darkens the
display window.
Synchronized recording
1. Press either the [CD Sync] button on the
tape deck or the [sync record] button
on the MD remote control unit.
Synchronized recording pause mode is
now engaged.
@ When this unit is in stop mode, it pauses
at the first tune (Pause indicator lights
up). When this unit is in playback mode,
it pauses (Pause indicator lights up)
after returning to the beginning of the
current tune.
2. Press the [ > ] play button either on
the tape deck or the MD deck while
synchronized recording in pause
mode to bi 'synchronized recording.

@ When the last tune or the last
programmed tune on the disc is

the [ time ], [ display ], [ ll] stop buttons
on this unit and the [ dimmer } button on
the RC-612 function.
@ Adjusting the recording level
In synchronized recording pause mode,
playback starts by pressing the ( ® play)
button. Adjust the recording level by
turning the rec level control on the MD
deck or tape deck.
This returns the unit to the beginning of the
current tune and pauses (Pause indicator
is lit). Synchronized recording starts 5
seconds later.
