2. APPLICATIONS
The radio transceiver base station is employed in system configura-
tions where wired connections are not possible, and/or in cases
where the programmable thermostat is remotely controlled by
means of a GSM Telephone Communicator.
3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Radio Transceiver Base Station
The Radio Transceiver Base Station replaces the base station
that comes with the thermostat. It must be wall-mounted at a
height of 1.5 m above floor level, in a suitable position for correct
operation of the thermostat (see the Instruction Manual of the
Time-Programmable Thermostat) and no more than 30 m away
from the Radio Actuator and the Internal Communications Interface,
if installed.
Attention!
The range of the devices is strongly influenced by any obstacles
between them, or by the presence of radio interference in the place
of installation.
The Radio Transceiver Base Station has four holes for direct wall-
mount installation with ø 6 mm anchors (not supplied), or for flush-
mount box installation with a 60 mm or 83.5 mm centre distance
between screws (standardised 3-module rectangular boxes) (fig.
3.1.1). It is designed for use in a dry and dust-free area at an ambi-
ent temperature between 0°C and +40 °C.
