1. APLICATIONS OF THE INSTRUMENT
The refractometer is used to measure the refractive indeice nD and mean dispersions
nF- nc of transparent and translucent liquid or solid, mainly the transparent liquid. Zuzi
320 refractometer can be connected to a circulation thermostat. Working temperature
range is 0- 100º C. See joint table to refraction index correction with temperature.
Refractive index is an important optical constant in substance and can be used to
determine optical performance, purity and concentration, etc.
It is possible to get sugar percentage in saccharose solutions within a range of 0 - 95%
Brix, equal to refractive indice 1.333 - 1.531.
This instrument can be widely used as indispensable tool in petrological, oil and fat,
pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic or chemical industry, as well as universities and research
institutions.
