Troubleshooting
Problem
Pump does not work
Pump runs but does not deliver lubricant
Pump runs but supplies no, or little, lubricant
Grease is coming out of pressure relief valve
Low level indicator does not return to initial
position after refilling pump
Pump failed to develop pressure
Low level circuit does not work *
*
Indicates change
Possible cause
No power
Internal wiring disconnected/loose
Wrong wiring connection
Pump motor is defective
Air pocket in grease cylinder
Piston of pump element damaged or worn
Pump return spring broken
Grease cartridge is empty
Check valve element worn
Failed motor
Follower is stuck
Failure of pump element
Air pocket in lubricant under follower
Lubricant viscosity too high (at low temperature)
Viscosity too low (high temperature)
Blocked lube system/bearing
High lubricant viscosity
Spring of relief valve broken
Spring of relief valve broken
Jammed plunger
High grease viscosity
Pumping element worn
Low level switch is damaged due to high current
flow: 0 5 Amp maximum allowable *

Solution
Check power supply, cable and fuse
Remove housing and check wiring connection
Check wiring connection See page 13
Remove housing and replace motor
Follow air purging procedure described on page 15
Disassemble pump element Inspect for dam-
aged or worn parts Replace pump element
Replace pump element
Replace empty grease cartridge
Replace check valve or pump element
Replace motor
Check cartridge housing for damage
Replace pump element
Follow air purging procedure described in
manual
Use grease with lower NLGI grade viscosity
Replace relief valve
Disassemble and clean low level housing
Replace pump element
