Decalcify
When to clean:
• The appliance should be descaled when the Americano and Double Espresso indicators
flash at the same time.
• This notice appears when the machine has completed 500 coffee cycles.
How to clean:
1. Fill the water tank with water and softener to the maximum level indicated on the water
tank (the scale of water and softener is 4:1, details refer to the instructions for the sof-
tener. Please use "household descaler"), you can also use citric acid instead of descaler
(one hundred parts water and three parts citric acid).
2. Place a container on the drip plate.
3. Press and hold the Americano and Double Espresso buttons for one second at the same
time, and the appliance will enter the descaling procedure.
4. The descaling process takes about 10 minutes. The six indicator lights will flash slowly
from left to right.
5. Once descaling is completed, the hot water and manual cleaning indicators will stop
flashing.
6. The number of coffee brewing cycles will be reset to zero and counted again after desca-
ling is complete. The descaling warning will occur again when the appliance has brewed
500 accumulated coffee cycles.
