SET UP & USE
Step 4: Connect signal and power cables
The outside unit's terminal block is
protected by an electrical wiring cover on
the side of the unit. A comprehensive wiring
diagram is printed on the inside of the
wiring cover.
WARNING
BEFORE PERFORMING ANY ELECTRICAL
OR WIRING WORK, TURN OFF THE MAIN
POWER TO THE SYSTEM.
1. Prepare the cable for connection:
USE THE RIGHT CABLE
Please choose the right cable refer to Cable
types in page 18.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT CABLE SIZE
Please choose the right cable size
according to the Minimum Circuit Ampacity
indicated on the name plate of the unit.
a. Using wire strippers, strip the rubber
jacket from both ends of cable to reveal
about 1.57" (40mm) of the wires inside.
b. Strip the insulation from the ends of the
wires. Using a wire crimper, crimp u-lugs
on the ends of the wires.

1. Remove the wire cover from the unit by
loosening the 3 screws.
2. Dismount caps on the conduit panel.
3. Temporarily mount the conduit tubes
(not included) on the conduit panel.
4. Properly connect both the power supply
and low voltage lines to the
corresponding terminals on the terminal
block.
5. Ground the unit in accordance with local
codes.
6. Be sure to size each wire allowing
several inches longer than the required
length for wiring.
7. Use lock nuts to secure the conduit
tubes.
