BATTERY ADVICE
Veleco model GRAVIS might come equipped with either Lead-Acid or Lithium-Ion battery type. Both
of those batteries are 60 Volts.
REMOVED WITHOUT PROPER TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE. LEAD-ACID BATTERIES ARE NOT DESIGNED
TO BE REMOVED AND CHARGED AT HOME, AS THIS IS A FEATURE OF THE LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES.
▶ It should be remembered that too frequent recharging of batteries will lead to an irreversible loss
of their capacity.
▶ Under no circumstances should the charging cycle be interrupted.
▶ The battery charger is equipped with an indicator which signals the end of the charging process.
▶ To ensure longer battery life, the battery should be charged as soon as the power indicator
approaches the depleted state.
▶ Using lights will affect the battery consumption; therefore the range of the vehicle is reduced
accordingly.
▶ Recharge your scooter batteries by following the instructions in the previous chapter. Too short
battery charging time will result in a gradual loss of capacity, resulting in the shorter travel distance.
▶ If the batteries are opened by the user, the manufacturer's liability expires and all claims are
cancelled.
Do not expose batteries to temperatures below -10 °C or above 50 °C.
▶ If the scooter is not used for a long period of time, it should be recharged regularly, so that you can
use it at any time. Unused batteries should be charged every 4 weeks. If the batteries are not used
for a longer period of time, they are subject to a slow, self-discharge (deep discharge). Charging
them with the supplied battery charger becomes impossible. To avoid deep discharge, it is advised
to turn the scooter ignition at least once a week for a period of five minutes.
