IMPORTANT:
Before requesting the intervention of the Calorex Service because of a possible malfunction, make sure the
heater's malfunction does not depend on other causes, such as a temporary lack of water or electrical power.
Before cleaning the appliance, make sure you have turned the product o and disconnected it from the
electric power.
Do not use insecticides, solvents or aggressive detergents that could damage the painted parts or plastic
materials.
To ensure the e ciency and long life of your water heater, we recommend to keep your appliance in perfect
state, clean the resistance every two years approx. If the appliance uses water that is characterized with high
hardness, clean them more frequently (1 year), or we recommend the use of a water softener.
The use of decalcifying liquid is recommended, but if not used, the resistance can be cleaned by removing
the crusted lime, taking special care not to damage the resistance shell.
The magnesium anodes (see Fig. 1) must be replaced every two years, if not, the warranty is invalid. With
aggressive water, or water high in chlorides, checking the state of the anode is recommended once a year.
To replace it, the resistance must be removed and unscrewed from the securing clamp.
