8. Battery removal and disposal
• The rechargeable Li-ion battery inside this device is removable.
• Only remove the rechargeable battery when you discard the product. Before you
remove the battery, make sure that the product is disconnected from the wall socket
and that the battery is completely flat.
• Take any necessary safety precautions when you handle tools to open the product
and when you dispose of the rechargeable battery.
1. Remove the four anti-slip inserts and the Philips screws underneath (fig. 3).
2. Carefully lift the housing ( fig. 4).
3. Disconnect the battery cables.
4. Carefully remove the rechargeable battery (fig. 5).
5. The rechargeable battery and the device can now be disposed of separately.
9. Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local
regulations.
The crossed out wheelie bin symbol means that this product shall not be
disposed of with normal household waste. Electronic and Electrical
Equipment not included in the selective sorting process are potentially
dangerous for the environment and human health due to the presence of
hazardous substances. Please dispose of responsibly at an approved
waste or recycling facility.
Used batteries may not be disposed of in the household waste.
Consumers are legally obligated to dispose of batteries at a collection
point in their community/city district or at a retail store. The purpose of
this obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of in an
environmentally congruent manner. Only dispose of batteries when they
are completely flat.
The CE marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with
health, safety and environmental protection standards for products sold
within the European Union. The CE marking is the manufacturer's
declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable
EC directives.
