5.3 REMOVE THE ATTACHMENT FROM THE POWER HEAD
NOTE: Never attach or adjust any attachment while the power head is running or with
the battery installed. Failure to stop the motor and remove the battery may cause
serious personal injury.

Stop the motor and remove the battery pack.
2.
Loosen the wing knob to release the shaft. (Fig.4A)
3.
Press the shaft release button (Fig.4B, 1) and pull the attachment shaft or exten-
sion tube (Fig.4B, 2) out from the power head shaft and remove it.

OPERATION
Always exercise caution when using your hedge trimmer, employing strict safety
measures no matter your level of experience or expertise.
Do not operate near electrical power lines. The unit has not been designed to
protect from electric shock in the event of contact with overhead electric lines,
consult local regulations for safe distances from overhead electric power lines,
and ensure that the operating position is safe and secure before operating the
hedge trimmer.
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields during power tool
operation. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes and
other possible serious injuries.
Only use the attachments recommended by the manufacturer. The use of attach-
ments or accessories not recommended can result in serious personal injury.

Tighten all fasteners and do not operate this product until all missing or
damaged parts are replaced.
6.1 ADJUSTING THE HEDGE TRIMMER ANGLE
To reduce the risk of injury, remove the battery before making any adjustments
and only when the blades are at a standstill. Never touch the blades while
making any adjustments.
To reduce the risk of injury, always stop the tool, remove the battery, and cover
the blade with the blade guard before moving the blade to the storage position
or from the storage position to the normal working position.
NOTE: The trimmer head pivots 135° and can be locked into 10 positions within that
range. The angle of the blade can be adjusted upwards to any of 4 positions from
0(straight) to 45, and downwards to any of 6 positions from 0 to 90 (Fig.5B).

Press the release trigger (Fig.5A, 1) down and rotate the adjusting lever (Fig.5A, 2)
to adjust the blade to the desired cutting position as required.

Let go of the release trigger, and make sure the locking pin is engaged in the
locking plate which indicates the trimmer head clicks into place.
