INSTRUCTION MANUAL
digital thermostat - THDP, THDS, THDK
(touch, stem, capillary)
Description and usage:
Digital thermostats are most often used in applications where the emphasis is on
appearance and simple operation, or where it is advisable to avoid direct contact with
the contacts. The main advantages include simple operation, assembly and reliability.
They are most often used for sensing the temperature of water in domestic hot water
tanks or in heating systems. Thermostats THDK (capillary), THDP (touch), THDS (stem)
are equipped with the function of setting the switching difference and the function of
switching the opening / switching mode (heating / cooling). Due to their wider regulation
range, thermostats are also suitable for applications where it is necessary to regulate
temperatures close to zero. The higher IP 40 protection is also an advantage.
Notice:
Installation and connection may only be performed by a person professionally
knowledgeable and professionally familiar with all current regulations and guidelines,
connection may only be made according to the attached wiring diagram. Electrical
connection can only be made when the power supply is fully disconnected.
Control:
The thermostat is equipped with the function of setting the switching difference and
the function of switching the opening / switching mode (heating / cooling).
Switching on/off temperature setting:
The display shows the current switching temperature, to change the
switching/deactivation temperature setting, press the up or down arrow, the display
shows the currently set value of the switching/deactivation temperature, now it is
possible to adjust the value with the up or down arrow. After 3s, the newly set value
is saved and the display returns to the original display of the current sensed
temperature.
Setting the switching difference (range 0.1-15 K):
The display shows the current switching temperature, to change the switching
difference setting, press the up arrows for 5s, the dx.x switching difference setting
mode will appear. Use the up or down arrow to set the desired switching difference
value. After 3s, the newly set value is saved and the display returns to the original
display of the current sensed temperature.
Failure to set the C1 (heating) and C2 (cooling) thermostat function mode:
The display shows the current switched temperature, to change the mode setting,
press the down arrow for 5s, the mode setting mode will be displayed. Use the up or
down arrow to switch between C1 and C2 modes, the default setting is heating mode
C1. After 3s, the newly set value is saved and the display returns to the original
display of the current sensed temperature. In the C1-heating mode, the el. the circuit
is closed below the set temperature, when the temperature rises and the set value is
reached, the el. circuit. When the temperature drops, re-switching occurs when the
temperature drops by the value of the switching difference. In the C2-cooling mode,
the electrical circuit is closed above the unset temperature. When the temperature
drops and the set value is reached, the electricity will be switched on. circuit. When
the temperature increases, re-switching occurs when the temperature rises by the
value of the switching difference.
Operation and maintenance:
- read the user manual carefully before using and installing the product.
- do not expose the product to rain or moisture, dripping or splashing water.
- do not place the product in places where sufficient air flow is not ensured.
- do not interfere with the internal electrical circuits of the product - you may damage it
and this will automatically void the warranty. The product should only be modified by a
qualified professional.
- keep the product clean and in accordance with the storage conditions.
- the product is intended only for operation in covered areas, not in the rain or outdoors.
- the product has IP 40 protection.
- do not submerge the body of the product in water or other liquids except as specified
for this purpose.
- use the product only according to the specified specifications and within the operating
parameters specified in the manual.
- use a slightly damp soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use solvents or cleaning products -
this may damage the plastic part or damage the thermostat circuits.
Installation:
1) Loosen the front cover screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
2) Remove the front cover.
3) Remove the terminal connector by moving the ulcers for easier connection of the
wires. Use a flat head screwdriver to fasten the clamps.
4) Pass the supply cables through the grommet in the lower part of the thermostat
housing.
5) Connect the individual wires to the terminals according to the attached diagram in
this manual. Connect the supply phase wire to terminal "L".Connect the supply
neutral wire and the neutral wire of the controlled appliance to the "N" terminal.
Connect the power supply/phase wire of the controlled appliance to the "NO"
terminal. Connect the power ground wire to the PE terminal.
6) Insert the terminal connector into the counter and clamp with adequate force,
align the individual cables in the thermostat housing.
7) Put on the front cover of the thermostat and fasten with two screws.
Warranty and post-warranty repairs:
Warranty and post-warranty repairs are provided by the manufacturer. Warranty claim
of a faulty thermostat should be done at the seller. The warranty claim will be accepted in
case, that following requirements are met:
submitted warranty list of the given thermostat,
-
paid invoice of the thermostat,
-
the conditions and requirements of operating manual were met.
-
Storing conditions:
Storing can be done in closed and aired rooms within temperature range 15–60 °C.
Storing and trasfer must not cause a mechanical damage of the device. Thermostats
must be treated with care, with no major shocks or vibrations.
Disposal:
Disposal should be performed as follows: Hand into a recycling collection point.
Warranty:
Provided, that the product has been placed and used according to the instruction
manual, the manufacturer provides with warranty in compliance with a valid code,
unless agreed otherwise.
The manufacturer will reject warranty repair, in case the product has been damaged:
during tranport and storage of the purchaser, or his customers,
-
during installation or disassembly of device of the purchaser or his
-
customer.
Assembly:
THDP
- Attach the thermostat with the contact surface to the pipe, so that the contact
surface is as large as possible. Fix the thermostat housing with a spring clamp,
adjust the length to the pipe diameter. You can remove the excess part of the clamp.
For more perfect measurements, it is possible to use a heat-carrying paste.
THDS
- The thermostat is equipped with a thermowell with a max. pressure load of PN 6
and a G1/2" thread. Loosen the fixing screw on the bottom of the thermostat cover.
Remove the thermowell and install it in a G1/2" weld in a system with a max.
pressure of 6 bar. Seal with teflon tape or other suitable sealing element. Next,
place the thermostat on the thermowell and secure with the fixing screw.
THDK
- Attach the body of the thermostat to a solid base (wall, console, holder), fixing the
through-hole using the fixing hole in the upper part of the thermostat housing. Insert
the sensor into the appropriate thermowell for measuring or into environment where
media temperature regulation is required, and secure against spontaneous
movement.
