6.2 Heating the sauna cabin
The function of the sauna heater is to heat the
sauna stones to the infusion temperature and thus
the sauna cabin.
Note: The sauna heater needs about 1 hour on
average to heat the sauna air and the sauna sto-
nes to the optimum temperature. In winter, this
can take considerably longer, depending on the
outside temperature and despite insulation.
The suitable target temperature for the sauna is
about +65 °C to +80 °C.
An optimally adjusted sauna heater heats the
sauna stones to infusion temperature as well as
the interior of the sauna.
Note: Normally, you should switch off the sauna
heater immediately after taking a sauna bath.
Under certain circumstances, however, it may be
necessary to let the sauna heater run on for a whi-
le under supervision so that the wooden parts of
the sauna can dry.
►In this case, turn the switch clockwise again to
the operating time of 1 hour.
►After approx. 30 minutes, turn the timer switch
counterclockwise back to the 0 position to
switch off the sauna heater.
Temperature of the sauna heater too high
A sauna heater that is set too high heats the sau-
na air quickly, but the sauna stones are not hea-
ted through enough and allow the infusion water
to flow through during an infusion.
Temperature of the sauna heater too low
A sauna heater that is set too low heats the sauna air
too slowly. The subsequent infusion only cools down
the stones and after some time the temperature is
no longer sufficient for the water to evaporate.
Finding the optimal temperature
►Find out the optimal temperature by trial and
error. This comfortable temperature varies from
person to person.
Note: Even a small deviation from the maximum
setting position can cause a noticeable change
in temperature.
Start the test with the maximum setting of the sau-
na heater.
This will tell you how long the sauna heater needs
to heat the sauna air and the sauna stones to the
desired temperature.
►Set the heater's temperature control slightly lo-
wer if the interior temperature is too high.
If necessary, overcome larger temperature diffe-
rences by briefly ventilating the sauna room.
Overheating protection of the sauna heater
If the temperature of the sauna cabin rises too
high, the overheating protection device switches
off the sauna heater and locks it against restar-
ting. In this case, the sauna must be reset by an
authorised person. Observe the manufacturer's
instructions for use of the sauna heater.
6.3 Performing an infusion
CAUTION
Risk of injury and burns from hot water and
hot steam.
►Make sure that the capacity of the sauna
ladle does not exceed 0.2 litres.
►Do not pour large amounts of water onto
the stones at once.
►Do not pour water on the stones if anyone
is near them.
►Only use clean drinking water as infusion
water.
►Use only natural-based fragrances that
have been approved and designated for
this purpose.
►Follow the instructions on their packaging.
Infusion should take place at regular intervals to
ensure that the sauna air retains sufficient humidi-
ty. 5 - 10 % relative humidity is considered optimal.
Note: The sensation of pleasant humidity varies
from person to person.
►Therefore, find out by trial and error at which
temperature and humidity you feel most com-
fortable.
6.4 Taking a sauna
ATTENTION
Damage to property
►Do not take any electrical devices into
the sauna, such as smartphones.
►Do not go into the sauna hungry or with a full
stomach.
►Drink plenty of fluids before and after each
sauna session.
►Shower and wash before and after using the
sauna.
►Do not go to the sauna with a slightly elevated
pulse, for example after sport or immediately
after a period of stress.
