Regular inspection is a key step to proper maintenance. By following the guidelines
below, you can maximize the safety, durability, and effectiveness of your power head.
Should you identify any damaged or excessively worn parts, replace them immediately.
Remove the battery pack from the power head before inspecting, cleaning, or perform-
ing maintenance.
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts and accessories.
Never let petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic
parts.
NOTE: For repairs and service, please work with an authorized service dealer, which can be
located by calling 800-541-7027.
7.1 GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating
oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Using chemicals can damage, weaken, or
destroy plastic which can result in serious personal injury.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to
damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
7.2 CLEANING THE POWER HEAD
When cleaning the power head, do not immerse it in water or other liquids.
1. Turn off your machine and remove the battery pack.
2. Clear any grass that may have wrapped itself around the motor shaft.
3. Clean dirt and debris from the power head using a damp cloth with mild detergent.
4. Do not use any strong detergents on the plastic housing or the handle. They can be
damaged by certain aromatic oils, such as pine and lemon, and by solvents such as
