Before use
Removing/charging/inserting the
battery pack
NOTE
►
The battery is partially charged. Ideally,
charge the battery completely before use.
You can charge the lithium-ion battery at any
time without shortening its service life. Inter-
rupting the charging process does not dam-
age the battery.
►
Never charge the battery pack if the ambient
temperature is below 10°C or above 40°C.
If a lithium-ion battery is to be stored for an
extended period, the charge level should be
checked regularly. The optimum charge level
is between 50% and 80%. The storage cli-
mate should be cool and dry and the ambi-
ent temperature should be between 0°C and
50°C.
CAUTION!

Always disconnect the mains plug before
removing the battery pack 6 from or inserting
it into the charger.
1) To remove the battery pack 6, press the re-
lease button 5 and pull the battery pack 6
out of the appliance.
2) Insert the battery pack 6 into the charger e.
3) Plug the mains plug into the mains power socket.
The red charge control LED t lights up.
4) The green charge control LED r indicates that
charging is complete and the battery pack 6
is ready for use.
5) Push the battery pack 6 into the appliance.

Checking the battery charge level
If the appliance is switched on, the status/remaining
charge will be shown on the battery LED 3 as
follows:
RED/ORANGE/GREEN = maximum charge
RED/ORANGE = medium charge
RED = low charge – charge the battery
Changing tools
Your cordless screwdriver has a fully automatic
spindle lock
.
When the motor is stopped, the power train locks
so that the quick-release chuck 9 can be opened
by turning it
. After you have attached the de-
sired tool and tightened it by turning the chuck
you can continue working. The spindle lock is re-
leased automatically when the motor is started
(by pressing the ON/OFF switch 7).
2-speed gearbox
CAUTION!
Operate the speed selector switch 1 only

when the appliance is at a standstill. Other-
wise, the appliance could be damaged.
In first gear
(speed selector switch 1 in position 1),
you can reach a speed of approx. 460 rpm and a
high torque. This setting is suitable for all screwing
jobs.
In second gear
(speed selector switch 1 in position 2),
you can reach a speed of approx. 1750 rpm for
carrying out drilling work.
Removing the chuck
If you want to use the bit adapter q , you must
remove the quick-release chuck 9.
