Removing the chuck
Hold the quick-release chuck 9 firmly from the
♦
front.
Pull/push the chuck ring 0 in the direction of
♦
the quick-release chuck 9. The quick-release
chuck 9 is now unlocked and can be pulled
off towards the front.
Attaching the quick-release chuck
To reattach the quick-release chuck 9, pull the
♦
chuck ring 0 in the direction of the quick-release
chuck 9. Push the quick-release chuck 9 over
the bit adapter q. Let go of the chuck ring 0
to click the quick-release chuck 9 into place.
NOTE
If the quick-release chuck 9 does not auto-
►
matically click into place, turn the chuck
ring 0.
Using the bit adapter
After removing the quick release chuck 9, you
can use the bit adapter q.
Insert a suitable bit into the bit adapter q.
♦
Push the bit into the bit adapter q as far as the
♦
stop.
The guide and the magnetic holder keep the bit
firmly in place.
To remove the bit, pull it out of the bit adapter q.

Torque selection ring/drill setting
You can set the torque using the torque selection
ring w.
♦
Select a low level for small screws or soft
materials.
♦
Select a high level for large screws, hard
materials or removing screws.
♦
For drilling, select the drill setting by moving
the torque selection ring w to the position.
♦
For drilling work, also slide the gear selector
switch 1 forwards (position 2).

Getting started
Changing the direction of rotation/
unlocking the appliance
♦
Unlock the appliance and change the direction
of rotation by pressing the rotation direction
switch 2 towards the left or right.
Switching on/off
Switching on
Press and hold the ON/OFF switch 7 to start
♦
the appliance. The LED work light 8 lights up
when the ON/OFF switch 7 is pressed lightly
or fully. This provides illumination of the work
area in poor lighting conditions.
Switching off
Release the ON/OFF switch 7 to switch off
♦
the appliance.
Setting the rotational speed
The ON/OFF switch 7 has a variable speed con-
trol. Pressing the ON/OFF switch 7 lightly yields
a low speed. Increasing the pressure increases the
speed.
NOTE

The integrated motor brake ensures rapid
stoppage.
Activating the lock
Push the rotation direction switch 2 into the
♦
middle position. The ON/OFF button 7 is
now locked.

Tip! How to do things correctly.

Before operation, check whether the screw or
drill bit is correctly positioned, i.e. centred in
the drill chuck.
♦
Screw bits are labelled according to their di-
mensions and their shape. If you are uncertain,
always check first whether the bit fits tightly in
the screw head without any play.
