1. Remove the blade protection cover (seeFigure 6).
2. Set the feed head and pole length to the appropriate position.
3. Connect the power cord to the mains supply.
4. Use both hands to grip the pole saw. Use the grip areas and strap indicated when using the pole
saw (See Figure 7) Use a firm grip. Thumbs and fingers should wrap around the handle and pole
of the pole saw.
5. Make sure your footing is firm. Keep your feet apart. Divide your weight evenly over both feet.
6. When you are ready to make a cut, depress the trigger lock and pull the trigger (see Figure 8).
This will activate the trimmer. If you release the trigger, the trimmer is deactivated. Make sure
the lawnmower is running before starting a cut.
7. When you start a cut, place the moving trimmer against the branch. Hold the trimmer firmly in
place.
8. Remove the trimmer from a cut being made at full speed. Stop the pole saw by releasing the
trigger. Make sure the mower has stopped before adjusting the trimmer.
Maintenance

Cleaning the hedge trimmer:

DANGER! Risk of physical injury / electric shock!

Always disconnect the power plug and slide off the protective cover, cutting blade before
carrying out maintenance work.

Do not clean the hedge trimmer under running water (especially high pressure).

Clean the hedge trimmer with a damp cloth.

Lubricate the cutting blade with low-viscosity oil. Avoid contact with plastic parts.
