Voltage: 230V +/- 10%
Frequency: 50Hz +/- 2Hz.
Note: the power supply has to be in accordance with the Standard
EN50160
The supply cable must be suitable for outdoors and sized ac-
cording to the regulations in force.
An automatic differential magneto-thermal switch must be
supplied by the user, having suitable sectioning features and
a suitably-sized line.
6 - Operation and maintenance
6.1 - Operation
The condenser cools the entering R410A refrigerant gas and
thereby converts it into a liquid. The condensing pressure is
controlled by the fans, whose operation is controlled by the Fan
operation controller (see also CHAP. 4).
The Liebert
HCR serie of condensing units is designed to work
®
with refrigerant R410A, the maximum working pressure of the coil
is 45 barg.
The max. allowed outside temperature (referred to an area
surrounding the suction side of condenser) depends on the coupled
conditioning unit and can reach max. 48°C.
The minimum allowed outdoor air temperature is -20°C.
N.B.:
For T ≤ -10 °C:
1 – If the controller is supplied for the first time, leave it in stand by
for 15 minutes before starting regulation.
2 - Use the Start/Stop contact to stop regulation, do not stop the
engine.
3 – In case of shut-off, at first re-start leave the controller supplied
in stand by for 15 minutes.
The max allowable refrigerant condensing temperature is +60°C.
For different air temperature contact our Technical Support
Department.
For the installations at heights over 2000 m, contact our
Technical Support Department.
This device cannot be air ducted.
This unit cannot be used in explosive, acid or anyway aggressive
atmospheres, not compatible with the materials used for its
manufacturing.
Power supply: 230V/1ph/50Hz
Voltage: 230V 10%
Frequency: 50Hz 2 Hz
Note: the power supply has to be in accordance with the Standard
EN50160
6.1.1 - Antifreeze function at low temperatures (opt.)
The regulator features an antifreeze function, that is possible only
with Variex regulator. This is activated automatically at the preset
temperature of equal to or less than 3°C and is deactivated as soon
as the temperature rises to 4°C The fan has fixed rest and working
periods during this type of operation; it is normal for the fan(s) to
operate even when not requested by the pressure sensor.
The regulator deactivates the antifreeze function automatically
as soon as the regulation function is requested via the pressure
transducer.
For the antifreeze/Winter Mode function, there are below adjustable
parameters:

6.1.2 - NTC sensor installation (code 275171)
The NTC sensor is supplied as an optional kit on request.
1.
Pass the cable of the sensor through the cable clamp
immediately beneath terminals 7-6.
2.
Fasten the bulb of the sensor close to the regulator with a
band, out of the sun and away from heat sources, so that it can
detect the temperature of the surrounding air; do not fasten it
to the battery fins.
