Operations & Parts Manual
The speed regulator is a tool feature but it is not
recommended to adjust. It is not a control device for
adjusting speed during operation. Failure to comply with
this instruction would increase the damage to die grinder.
Maintenance
Air Tools Lubrication
An automatic in-line filter-regulator-lubricator is recommended as
it increases tool life and keeps the tool in sustained operation.
The in-line lubricator should be regularly checked and filled with
air tool oil. Proper adjustment of the in-line lubricator is
performed by placing a sheet of paper next to the exhaust ports
and holding the throttle open approximately 30 seconds. The
lubricator is properly set when a light stain of oil collects on the
paper. Excessive amounts of oil should be avoided.
In the event that it becomes necessary to store the tool for an
extended period of time (overnight, weekend, etc.), it should
receive a generous amount of lubrication at that time. The tool
should be run for approximately 30 seconds to ensure oil has
been evenly distributed throughout the tool. The tool should be
stored in a clean and dry environment.
Recommended lubricants: Use Husky air tool oil or any other
high grade turbine oil containing moisture absorbents, rust
inhibitors, metal wetting agents and an EP (extreme pressure)
additive.

3.
Do not submerge the entire spray gun in solvent because:
a.
the lubricant in the leather packing will dissolve and
the packing will dry out.
b.
the lubricant at wear surfaces will dissolve causing
harder operation and faster wear.
c.
residue from dirty solvent may clog the narrow air
passages in the gun.
4.
Wipe down the outside of the gun with solvent dampened
rag.
5.
Lubricate gun daily. Use a light machine oil on:
a.
fluid needle packing
b.
air valve packing
c.
side port control packing
d.
trigger pivot point.
Coat the fluid control spring with Vaseline.
All nozzles and needles are precision made. They should be
handled with care.
Except as described in #5, do not make any alterations in the
gun. To do so could cause finishing difficulties.
To clean nozzles, soak them in solvent to dissolve any dried
material, then blow them clean with air.
Do not probe any of the holes in the nozzles with metal
instruments. If probing is necessary, use only a tool that is softer
than brass.
Adjust the fluid needle valve so that when the gun is triggered,
airflow occurs before fluid-flow.
It is important that the gun be cleaned properly so as to maintain
efficient operation, and protection of the life of the spray gun.
Disassemble the cup and clean thoroughly with a suitable
solvent. Then reassemble the cup to the gun.
Thinner or suitable solvent should be poured into cup and
sprayed in the usual manner – this will completely clean out the
paint passageway.
