BCI 24-Dx
5 Operation and Control
NOTICE
The device must not be operated beyond its specifications.
5.1 Version with IO-Link interface (1D1A)
This unit is equipped with an IO-Link interface and an ana-
logue output.
An IO-Link master is required to use the IO-Link interface.
The IO-Link interface allows direct access to process and dia-
gnostics data, as well as configuration of the unit during op-
eration.
The IODDs required to configure the unit is available at ht-
tps://ioddfinder.io-link.com.
If the IO-Link interface is not in use (no master or only used to
parameterise), the BCI 24 functions as a regular pressure drop
switch with 1 switching output and an analogue output.
In the event of increasing pressure drop, switching output 1 is
configured as an NC contact as standard. This switching out-
put opens at 75% of the set pressure drop measuring range.
To ensure that the switching output responds, the relevant
threshold must be exceeded for at least 4 seconds. This will
prevent the system responding too soon in the event of brief
pressure peaks.
The switching output resets automatically.
However, it can be parameterised via IO-Link master.
For more information, please visit: www.io-link.com
The analogue output supplies a 4–20 mA current signal pro-
portional to the set pressure drop measuring range.
5.2 Version with IO-Link interface (1D1S)
This unit is equipped with an IO-Link interface, which requires
an IO-Link master.
The IO-Link interface allows direct access to process and dia-
gnostics data, as well as configuration of the unit during op-
eration.
The IODDs required to configure the unit is available at ht-
tps://ioddfinder.io-link.com.
If the IO-Link interface is not being used (no master or only
used to parameterise), the BCI 24 functions as a regular pres-
sure drop switch with 2 switching outputs.
In the event of increasing pressure drop, switching output 1 is
configured as an NC contact as standard. This switching out-
put opens at 75% of the set pressure drop measuring range.
In the event of increasing pressure drop, switching output 2 is
configured as an NC contact as standard. It opens at 100% of
the set pressure drop measuring range.
