Do not use the tool in narrow spaces and take
care to ensure you hands are not crushed
between tool and workpiece, especially during
unscrewing.
hazards due to repeated movements
When using a threaded fastener tool, the oper-
ator may suffer from unpleasant sensations in
the hands, arms, shoulders, neck area or in other
body parts when performing actions related to
the work.
When working with this tool, you must adapt
a comfortable position, ensure you have safe
footing and avoid uncomfortable stances or sim-
ilar where it is difficult to maintain your balance.
During long periods of work, the operator must
change their stance, which can help to avoid
discomfort and tiredness.
If the operator is aware of symptoms such as
a permanent feeling of illness, pain, crushing,
pins and needles, deafness, burning or stiffness,
these warning signs should not be ignored. The
operator should inform their employer of this and
consult a qualified health professional.
hazards due to accessories
Disconnect the tool from the power supply, be-
fore changing the tool bit or accessory parts.
Do not touch sockets or accessories during
the impact driving process, because this can
increase the risk of cutting, burns or injuries due
to vibrations.
Use only accessories and consumables of the
size and type are recommended by the man-
ufacturer of the threaded fastener tool; do not
use any other types or sizes of accessories and
consumables.
Only use impact sockets that are in a good
working condition, because the inadequate
condition of manual sockets and accessories can
may result in them breaking when the impact
driver is used and then being ejected outwards.
Workplace hazards
Slipping, stumbling and falling are the main rea-
sons for workplace injuries. Be aware of surfaces
that could become slippery through use of the
tool and of stumbling hazards caused by air or
hydraulic hoses.
Proceed with care in areas that you are not
familiar with. Hidden hazards could be caused
by electrical cables or other supply lines.

Special safety instructions
The threaded fastener tool is not intended for use
in explosive atmospheres and is not insulated
to protect against contact with electrical power
sources.
Ensure that no electric cabling, gas pipelines, etc.
are present which, if damaged through use of the
tool, could lead to damage.
hazards due to dust and vapour
When using the threaded fastener tool, dust
and vapour may cause illness or ill health (e.g.
cancer, birth defects, asthma and/or dermatitis);
it is essential that a risk assessment is performed
with reference to these hazards and suitable
control mechanisms implemented.
The risk assessment should make take into consid-
eration the dust arising from use of the tool and
also dust that may be stirred up.
The exhaust air must be routed so that the
whirling up of dust in a dust-filled environment is
reduced to a minimum.
If dust or vapour arise, the principal task is to
control them at the location of their release.
All built-in parts or accessories of the tool used
for capture, extraction or suppression of airborne
dust or vapour should be used and maintained in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Use respiratory protection equipment according
to the instructions of your employer or as required
by the health and safety regulations.
hazards due to noise
If adequate hearing protection is used a high
noise level can result in permanent hearing
damage, loss of hearing or other problems
such as Tinnitus (ringing, whizzing, whistling
or buzzing in the ears). It is essential that a
risk assessment is performed with reference to
these hazards and suitable control mechanisms
implemented.
Suitable risk reduction control mechanisms
include measures such as the use of insulation
material to prevent ringing noises occurring at the
workpieces.
Use hearing protection equipment according to
the instructions of your employer or as required
by the health and safety regulations.
The threaded fastener tool must be operated and
maintained according to the recommendations in
this manual, to avoid an unnecessary increase in
the noise level.
