with filter and empty any condensate
that may be there.
3. Remove condensate drain hose, snap
ring and angle (Figure 15a).
4. Remove nut and pull out float divertor
upwards (Figure 15b).
5. Remove screw cap and take out the filter
element (Figure 15c).
6. Clean or replace filter element.
7. To install, follow steps indicated for re-
moval in reverse order.
2.6.9 Checking, setting and ad-
justing the V-belt tension
Checking V-belt tension:
Using your thumb, press down on the V-belt
in the middle between the V-belt pulleys. The
V-belt must not give more than its width.
Adjusting V-belt tension:
1. Slacken the counternuts (Fig. 11a).
2. Turn each adjusting nut clockwise one
turn.
3. Check the V-belt tension and repeat the
process if necessary.
4. Tighten the two counternuts.
Changing V-belt:
1. Remove the existing V-belt.
2. Make sure the automatic tensioner is po-
sitioned correctly (Figs. 11b, c).
3. Insert a new V-belt in the guide on the V-
belt disc. (Fig. 11d)
4. Slide the V-belt into the guide on the fan
wheel from the side and turn the fan
wheel by hand until the V-belt runs
smoothly in the guide.
5. Tighten the V-belt (see above).
2.6.10 Servicing the condensate
evaporator
1. Wear protective gloves.
2. Press perforated metal plate to the back
and then remove upwards (Figure 14a).
3. Remove filter mat and dispose of in ac-
cordance with local regulations.
4. Remove lower perforated metal plate.
5. Wipe condensate evaporator with a
cloth. Dispose of cloth in accordance with
local regulations.
6. To install, follow steps indicated for re-
moval in reverse order.

2.6.11 Cleaning/replacing the
check valve
1. Unscrew the locking screw (Figure 6a).
2. Clean the insert and seat.
3. Replace the insert in case of damage,
squeezing or hardening.
4. If the seat is damaged, replace the entire
check valve.
2.6.12 Check screw fittings
1. Check all screw connections for tight fit
and retighten if necessary.
2. Observe the tightening torques (tighten-
ing torques calculated according to VDI
2230).
2.6.13 Replacing the safety valve
1. Detach the safety valve (item 11) by un-
screwing it anticlockwise.
2. Screw the new safety valve into place by
screwing it clockwise.
2.6.14 Cleaning the dirt arrester
1. Place collection tank under the dirt ar-
rester.
2. Remove locking screw by turning in an
anticlockwise direction (Figure 13a).
3. Remove screen and clean with water
(Figure 13b).
4. If the screen is defective or can not be
cleaned, replace.
5. To install, follow steps indicated for re-
moval in reverse order.

Decommissioning
Observe the safety instructions!
2.7.1 Preservation
Preservation of oil-lubricated compressors is
necessary if the compressor is taken out of
service for a long period (over 6 months) or
is new from the factory and will not be oper-
ated until much later.
1. Switch off the compressor. Disconnect
the power supply.
2. Allow the oil to drain. See Chap. 2.6.6.
3. Fill corrosion inhibiting oil (viscosity SAE
30). Insert the oil filler plug or oil dip-
stick.
4. Allow the compressor to warm up, switch
it off.
