PC connection
A weather station is a self-sufficient device capable of collecting and displaying weather data. However, for
deeper analysis and data storage, it can be connected to a PC via a USB cable. In offline mode, the weather
station stores up to 4080 complete sets of weather data with time and date in its internal memory. If the
memory is full, the old data gets written over with new one. Some data and settings, including data storage
intervals from 5 to 240 minutes, are only accessible via PC.
To work with the weather station on a PC, you need to install the EasyWeather software, which can be
downloaded from the official Levenhuk website. This software displays the current and historical weather data
and enables you to save and upload it to weather servers.
PC system requirements
Operating system: Windows NT4 (Service Pack ≥ 6a), Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7/8/10, MAC OS.
Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
Processor: Pentium III 500MHz or higher.
Free storage space: at least 128MB, 256MB recommended.
Maintenance
Rain gauge cleaning
Clean every 3 months. Rotate the funnel counterclockwise and lift to access the rain gauge mechanism. Wipe
with a damp cloth to remove dirt, debris, and insects. For insect problems, lightly spray with insecticide.
Solar radiation sensor and solar panel cleaning
Clean every 3 months with a damp cloth.
Battery replacement
Replace every 1−2 years. In harsh environments, check every 3 months. Batteries may leak when used for too
long.
When replacing batteries: Apply a corrosion inhibitor, available at most hardware stores, to the battery
terminals.
In snowy conditions
Spray the top of the weather station with anti-icing silicone spray to prevent snow accumulation.
