TROUBLESHOOTING
Failure
Fan not operating
Insufficient air flow
Excessive vibration
The fan does not switch off
Alarm signal
PROBLEM SOLVING (EC version only)

Solution
1
High voltage Check that the input voltage is within the range allowed by the device or that no voltage spikes occur.
Check that the input voltage is within the range allowed by the device or that there are no voltage dips.
2
Low voltage
Note: The reporting of the low voltage alarm when shutting down the device is to be considered normal
Check that the ambient temperature at which the device is operating is within the proper operating range of the
equipment.
Temperature
Check that the fan meshes are clear and that the motor dissipation fins are clean so that the inverter can properly

dissipate internal heat.
Wait for the temperature of the device to drop (below 80°C for the IGBT module and below 105°C for the board)
before requesting a new movement.
The inverter detected too high a current, so it reduced the speed and tried again at the required RPM three times
in succession. Check that the fan is free to rotate without hindrance (for safety reasons, ensure that the fan is
switched off before carrying out the checks).
Check for possible bearing problems by checking that there is no play on the fan's axis of rotation (for safety

reasons, make sure the fan is switched off before carrying out checks).

high (lock)
Check that the input voltage is within the correct operating range of the equipment and that the cable cross-section
in use is adequate.
Try resetting the alarm and retry the movement or turn the device off and on again after waiting at least one minute
for the internal capacitors to fully discharge.
Check with Munters that the acceleration at start-up is not too high (boost).

(lock)
is not too high (boost).
No action required, the device autonomously retries the movement up to a maximum of three consecutive times.
The time interval between one attempt and the next is increasing: following the first alarm the device waits a time

Solution
Replace fuse or reset switch
Repair or replace the controller
Repair or replace the motor
Check the rotation direction of the impeller
Tension the belt
Clean guard
Check and eliminate any interference
Check the tightness of the screws of the guards, fixed com-
ponents and moving parts
Replace the fan
Set the correct temperature
Set control correctly
- Disconnect the power supply
- Wait 1 minute.
- Visually inspect for any external objects preventing proper
fan rotation and remove if present.
- Reconnect the power supply.
- If the alarm signal has not gone off, contact technical
support.
