SWITCH TRIGGER
See Figure 2, page 10.
To turn the tool ON, depress the switch trigger. To turn it
OFF, release the switch trigger and allow the collet to come
to a complete stop.
NOTE: A whistling or ringing noise coming from the switch
during use is a normal part of the switch function.
DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR
(FORWARD/REVERSE/CENTER LOCK)
See Figure 3, page 10.
The direction of bit rotation is reversible and is controlled
by a selector located above the switch trigger. With the
screwdriver held in normal operating position, the direction
of rotation selector should be positioned to the left of the
switch trigger for forward motion. The direction is reversed
when the selector is to the right of the switch trigger.
Setting the direction of rotation selector in the OFF (center
lock) position helps reduce the possibility of accidental start-
ing when not in use.
NOTICE:
To prevent gear damage, always allow the collet to
come to a complete stop before changing the direction
of rotation.
To stop the screwdriver, release the switch trigger and allow
the collet to come to a complete stop.
NOTE: The screwdriver will not run unless the direction of
rotation selector is pushed fully to the left or right.
TO LOAD/RELEASE BITS
See Figure 4, page 10.
Insert the bit into the collet and push the bit in as far as pos-
sible. To remove a bit, pull the bit straight out of the collet.
NOTE: For ease of removal, the use of 2 in. bits is recom-
mended.
NOTE: MAINTENANCE INFORMATION BEGINS ON PAGE 9
AFTER FRENCH AND SPANISH LANGUAGE SECTIONS.

INSTALLING/REMOVING DRILL HEADS
See Figures 5 - 6, page 10.
NOTE: Drill heads can be installed at different angles to best
suit your application needs.
Release the switch trigger and allow the collet to come
to a complete stop.
Pull the end cap away from the collet.
Place the desired drill head on the screwdriver so that
openings in drill head fit on the raised tabs of the screw-
driver.
Push the drill head onto the screwdriver until it snaps
into place.
To remove, depress the tabs and pull the head away from
the screwdriver.
LED WORKLIGHT
See Figure 7, page 11.
The built-in LED worklight is convenient when working in close
or tight areas where additional light is needed. Whenever the
switch trigger is depressed, the LED worklight will illuminate.
DRIVING SCREWS
See Figure 8-10, page 11.
Install the appropriate drill head or end cap for the opera-
tion you are attempting.
NOTE: When screwing in tight or narrow spaces the right
angle or offset drill heads are recommended.
Load a bit into the collet or drill head.
Check the direction of rotation selector for the correct
setting (forward or reverse).
Hold the tool firmly and place the bit at the point where
the screw is to be driven.
WARNING:
Do not drive a screw where there is likely to be hidden
wiring behind the surface. Contact with a "live" wire will
make exposed metal parts of the tool "live" and possibly
shock the operator. If you must drive a screw where hid-
den wire may be present, always hold tool by insulated
gripping surfaces (handle) when performing the operation
to prevent a shock to the operator.
Depress the switch trigger to start the tool.
Apply only enough pressure to keep driving the screw.
Do not force the tool. Let the tool do the work.
