CARE & CLEANING
Warning! Always unplug your appliance before any maintenance work. Never pull
on the power cord, but only on the plug itself.
Cleaning
For hygiene reasons, regularly clean the appliance (side walls and interior and exterior
accessories).
Important! Ethereal oils and organic solvents can damage plastic parts, e.g. lemon juice, butyric
acid or acetic acid.
• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning it.
• Remove food from the appliance. Store it in a cool place and keep well covered.
• Do not clean the refrigerator by pouring on water. Do not use abrasive products or
detergents to clean the appliance.
• Make sure that water does not enter the lamp box and other electrical components.
• The appliance must be cleaned regularly with a solution of bicarbonate of soda and warm
water.
• Clean accessories separately by hand with soap and water. Do not wash accessories in
the dishwasher.
• Do not allow such substances to come into contact with appliance parts.
• Do not use any abrasive cleansers.
• After cleaning them, rinse surfaces with clear water and dry them.
• After everything is dry, plug the appliance back in with dry hands.
• Clean the condenser with a brush at least twice per year. This provides energy savings
and improves performance
Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner.
Defrost
• Your refrigerator defrosts automatically. The water from the defrosting process runs out
through the water collection chute into the water tray behind your refrigerator, where it
evaporates.
• Make sure that your refrigerator is unplugged before cleaning the water tray.
• Remove the water tray from its position by unscrewing (if it is screwed in). Clean regularly
with soapy water. This will prevent the formation of odours.
Cleaning the drain
To stop the defrost water from running into the refrigerator, clean the drain at
the back of the refrigerator part from time to time. To do this, use a cleaning
product as shown in the diagram on the right.
