The muffler gets very hot during and after use. This
also applies during idling. Be aware of the fire hazard,
especially when working near flammable substances
and/or vapours. The muffler is designed to keep noise
levels to a minimum and to direct exhaust fumes away
from the user.
Check regularly that the muffler is complete and secured
correctly.
To do a check of the muffler

inhalation of such particles when cleaning
and/or servicing the spark arrester, make
sure you always:
•
wear gloves;
•
clean and/or servicing in an area with
good air flow;

do not use pressurized air to clean the
spark arrester screen;
•
use a steel brush and brush away from
your body when cleaning the spark
arrester screen.

Use approved protective equipment during the
servicing and maintenance, refer to
protective equipment on page 6 . There is a risk of
dust dispersion.

Make sure that the generator power switch is in the
OFF position.
•
Make sure that the wire connection between the
generator and the rest of the dust collector is
removed before you disassemble the generator.
•
Make sure that the wires are connected correctly
and securely far from metal contacts. The wire
connections are not insulated and may cause
electric shock if they touch a metal surface.
•
Product related accidents occur during the
troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance as the
operator must be in the risk area of the product. The
operator must be careful and prepare the work to
prevent accidents.
•
Do not do modifications to the product.
•
All repairs must be done by an approved servicing
agent. Only use spare parts supplied by the
manufacturer.
•
Only let an approved electrician do all checks of the
electric components.
•
Do not make a hole in the HEPA filter. A broken
HEPA filter can cause dust to release into the air.
•
Make sure that you obey all local regulations to
dispose the dangerous dust correctly, before and
during maintenance.
•
Make sure that you obey all local regulations to
dispose all replaced parts after the servicing.
