Main function keys
• SK1 (Side key 1): Short press to turn on/off FM broadcast. Press and hold to turn on/off the alarm function.
• SK2 (Side key 2): Short press to turn on/off the LED flashlight. Press and hold to activate the listening function.
• VFO/MR key: Switch between frequency mode or channel mode.
• A/B key: Switches between A (upper) and B (lower) displays.
• BAND Key: In VFO mode, short press to switch between UHF or VHF frequency bands. Press and hold to activate the one click frequency
sweep function.
• MENU key: Used to enter the menu and confirm menu options.

• keys : Used to navigate through the menu as well as select channels and step up or down in frequency (depending on operating mode).
• EXIT key: Used to exit menus and cancel menu options.
Numeric keypad
• Star * Key: Repeater mode, short press to activate or disable the reverse frequency function; Long press to lock or unlock the keyboard;
• Pound # Key: In standby mode, short press to enter DTMF dialing; Long press to activate the scanning function.
• Zero 0 key: Long press to activate the scanning and reception of NOAA weather forecasts.

Installing / Removing the Battery
Before attaching or removing the battery make sure your radio is turned off by turning the power/volume knob all the way counter-clockwise.
(1) Match the two bottom grooves of the battery pack with the corresponding guides on the back of the radio and then push it.
(2) To remove the battery pack, slide the release latch at the top away from the battery and remove the pack away from the transceiver.
Installing / Removing the Antenna
(1) Installing the Antenna: Screw the antenna into the connector on the top of the transceiver by holding the antenna at its base and turning it
clockwise until secure.
(2) Removing the Antenna: Turn the antenna counter-clockwise to remove it.
