The main unit's output status can be set manually. Pressing the +/− buttons cause the setting to alternate as follows.
ALL RESET
Pressing the MENU button while holding down the MUTE button when the unit is in standby mode will restore the unit to its
factory default settings.

Input: LINE1
VOLUME: MIN
L-R Balance setting: L/R set 0
Input level setting: 0dB
PASS through setting: No setting
ECO (energy-saving) mode setting: OFF
Linking multiple Pre-Amplifiers
Using a commercially available Ø 3.5mm stereo mini-cable,
the MASTER OUT jack on one Pre-Amplifier can be connected
to the SLAVE IN jack on another Pre-Amplifier, in this way
allowing linkage of the input select and sound volume
controls of two or more Pre-Amplifiers.
Using this function, the unit can be combined with a
monaural power amplifier for the ultimate in stereo presence.
Further, by using the units as 4-channel (or more)
Pre-Amplifiers, you can enjoy multichannel playback.
Note that the devices connected to the unit connected to the
SLAVE IN jack will function in the SLAVE mode.
SLAVE mode operations
' When in the SLAVE mode, the display will appear as
follows:
' When the SLAVE mode is enabled, the following functions
can be set via the main unit's keys:
• L-R balance setting, input level setting, PASS through
setting, auto power-down mode, output settings.
' When the SLAVE mode is enabled, operations are performed from devices on the MASTER side to devices on the SLAVE side.
When using the remote control to operate a device, it should be pointed at the device on the MASTER side.
' When the SLAVE mode is enabled, the power off, sound volume adjustment, input select, mute, display (DISP), and auto
power down functions are performed on the MASTER side device; operations cannot be performed from devices on the SLAVE
side.
Note
' When a stereo mini cable is used to connect the MASTER OUT terminal of this unit to the 12 V trigger input terminal of the
TAD product, the power on/standby operation of the TAD product can be performed by operating the power on/standby of
this unit. Be sure to use the proper stereo mini-cable, since use of a monaural mini-cable will cause the generation of noise.
' Because the unit has a trigger output voltage of 5V, we cannot guarantee the operation of the abovementioned power ON/
Standby functions when it is connected to devices with 12V triggers other than TAD products.
' It is possible to connect two or more Pre-Amplifiers in cascade style, but some operating delay may occur when three or
more are connected in that way.
