BEFORE USING YOUR KETTLE
Before first use, it is recommended to clean
the kettle by boiling the max capacity of water.
Discard the Water and repeat.
This appliance can be used to boil fresh, cool
water only. Do not add ingredients or attempt to
boil other liquids.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Place the kettle with the base on a flat
surface.
2. To fill the kettle, remove it from the power
base and open the lid by pressing down the
lid release button, then fill the kettle with the
desired amount of water and close the lid.
The water level must be within the Min and
Max level.
NOTE:
• Do not fill the water over the maximum level,
as water may spill out of the spout when
boiling.
• Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before
plugging in.
• Too little water will cause the kettle switching
off before the water has boiled.
3. Place the kettle on the power base.
4. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press
down the switch and the indicator will light
up, and then the kettle starts to boil the
water. The kettle will switch off automatically
once the water has boiled. If necessary, it will
take you 30 seconds to wait before pressing
the switch again to re-boil the water. You
may shut off the power by lifting switch up or
directly lift the kettle from the power base at
any moment to stop boiling process.
NOTE: Ensure that the switch is free of
obstructions and the lid is firmly closed, the
kettle will not turn off if the switch is being
blocked/held down or the lid is open.
5. Lift the kettle from the power base and then
pour out the water.
NOTE:
• Operate carefully when pouring out the water
from your kettle as boiling water may result
in scald. Don't open the lid while the water in
the kettle is hot.
6. Always disconnect the power supply when
not in use.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate
without or insufficient water, the safety function
of boil-dry protection will automatically switch
off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to
cool down for about 10 minutes. Then refill it
with cold water before starting a new boiling
process.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR KETTLE
Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp
cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with
a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent.
Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
Never immerse the kettle in water or other
liquids.
From time to time depending on the nature
of your water supply, a lime scale deposit is
naturally formed and can be found mostly
adhered to the heating element and reduces
the heating capacity. The amount of lime scale
deposited (and subsequently the need to
clean or descale) largely depends on the water
hardness in your area and the frequency with
which the kettle is used.
Limescale is not harmful to your health. But
if poured into your beverage, it can give a
powdery taste to your drink. Therefore, the kettle
should be descaled periodically as indicated
below:
DESCALING
Descale the kettle regularly. With normal use, at
least twice a year.
1. Fill the kettle up to „MAX" with a mixture
of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts
water. Switch on and wait for the appliance to
switch off automatically.
2. Let the mixture remain inside the kettle
overnight.
