optionally be used and controlled to run at a slightly slower speed than F1 and will act as an intake fan to
create the desired negative pressure within the grow tent.
Controlling Standard EC fans:
In the Tent-X system, EC Fans can be controlled using the optional EFC-1
control adaptors. Using the EFC-1 control adaptors, you can control 0-10 volt or PWM-type EC fans, which
you can select when first setting up the EFC-1. The EFC-1 control adaptors can control the speed of the
exhaust fan and the intake fan, which as a result, can manipulate the temperature, humidity, and negative
pressure inside the grow tent to suit the users' desired outcome. Up to 2 fans can be controlled using two of
the EFC-1 adapters.
Aerofan Branded EC fans
do not require the optional EFC-1 as they can be connected directly to the Device
module RJ12 port on the TCS-1. The TCS-1 can control either a single Aerofan, or multiple Aerofans using
the same user settings for all connected fans. Multiple Aerofans can all be connected together using the
provided daisy-chain cables. Then that group of fans can be connected to the TCS-1 Device port. Once
connected the user can select the settings for the Aerofans to operate.
*Note:
The "Swing" function is only used for Aerofans that have an oscillating motion. When using the
Aerofan control option, there is only a single EC fan setting available.
*Note:
To have a negative pressure within a grow tent when using the Aerofans, select a larger fan for the
exhaust and a smaller fan for the intake.
Controlling Aerofan EC fans:
Aerofan fans can be connected to the TCS-1 one of two ways. Aerofans do not
require any type of adapter to control them using the TCS-1 controller. So the simplest way to connect
Aerofan fans to the TCS-1 is to plug in the communication cable from the fan(s) directly into the DEVICE
port on the TCS-1. All of the fans to be controlled would be daisy-chained together using the provided
cables and then connected to the device port on the TCS-1. Once connected, those fans will be controlled
based on the settings within the EC Fan page. You can also choose to use the optional FRC-1 Fan Remote
Control module. The FRC-1 provides an easy and manual method to adjust the Aerofan speeds. The FRC-1
is connected inline with the fans using the supplied Y-cable, the other end of the Y-cable connects to the
TCS-1. Normally the TCS-1 will control the fan speed based on the user' s setting within the TCS-1. But
when the FRC-1 is connected, turning the manual knob on the FRC-1 will temporarily allow the FRC-1 to
control the fan speed based on the user' s manual speed setting. After 30 minutes of inactivity on the
FRC-1, the Aerofans that are connected to the FRC-1 and the TCS-1 will be controlled by the TCS-1 again.
5. Internet Connection
You can connect your TENT-X to the internet in order to have access to remote monitoring, notifications, and
control of your controller. To connect the controller to your internet, TrolMaster recommends using a
hard-wired Cat 5/6 cable plugged into the Ethernet port on the bottom of the TCS-1. After you have
connected your TENT-X to the internet, download TrolMaster' s app, TM+ Pro on your smartphone. You can
then access real-time data through your smartphone and have remote control of the devices connected to
the Tent-X, allowing freedom to travel and be away from your growing environment. TrolMaster users can
also share their progress, interact with other growers, access historical data and have access to many
useful functions in the app.
