Maintenance
Rain gauge cleaning
Clean every 3 months. Rotate the funnel counterclockwise and lift to access the rain gauge mechanism. Wipe
with a damp cloth to remove dirt, debris, and insects. For insect problems, lightly spray with insecticide.
Solar radiation sensor and solar panel cleaning
Clean every 3 months with a damp cloth.
Battery replacement
Replace every 1−2 years. In harsh environments, check every 3 months. Batteries may leak when used
for too long.
When replacing batteries: Apply a corrosion inhibitor, available at most hardware stores, to the battery
terminals.
In snowy conditions
Spray the top of the weather station with anti-icing silicone spray to prevent snow accumulation.
Troubleshooting
Remote sensor does not connect with the console:
•
Press the reset button for 3 seconds using a paper clip.
•
Re-sync the console with the sensor.
•
Check the blinking LED next to the battery compartment.

The temperature sensor shows too high a temperature during the day:
•
Make sure the sensor is not located too close to heat sources or obstacles such as buildings, sidewalks,
walls or air conditioners.
•
You can use the calibration feature to troubleshoot installation problems due to heat sources.
Relative pressure does not correspond to official data:
•
Check pressure calibration with an official weather station.
Rain gauge shows rain when there is none:
•
Make sure the sensor is installed firmly and level (refer to the bubble level readings).
Data isn't transferring to wunderground.com:
•
Make sure the password and station ID are correct.
•
Set the correct date, time, and time zone on your console.
