BEFORE USE, IT IS REQUIRED TO READ THIS INSTRUCTIONS
MANUAL! DEVIATING FROM THESE REQUIREMENTS MAY HAVE
1.) WARNING: Work and movement in heights is a
dangerous activity, which requires thorough training and
knowledge of used products. Be sure to check the correct
function and integrity of the system components and the
fall protection before starting work. The instructions in
this manual describe the right steps to take care of your
protective equipment, so avoid other procedures that
may be incorrect and may endanger your life and health.
Neither the manufacturer nor the seller is responsible for
any damages caused by improper or incorrect use and / or
misuse of the product. The responsible person and the risk
taker are in all cases the users.
2.) DESCRIPTION: This product is a fall protection device
designed for safe work at heights and above free depth
(eg work on roofs, platforms, scaffolding, columns and
masts). It is made of materials suitable for usual weather
conditions and good working practices. The main purpose
of the fall arrest line is to connect the user in the fullbody
harness to the anchor point. The fall arrest line has also
the task of absorbing the energy that may arise in a free
fall. The lanyard can also be used to limit the user's work
area so that the risk of a free fall can not occur. Suitable
for use in vertical position in conjunction with a ladder or
when working on a sloping roof. Should be used without
slack on the lanyard. If the user is using the line in
suspension, another absorbent system is recommended.
See EN 363. The part of the lanyard with absorber and
the carabiner is attached to the connection points marked
with an A or A2 on the chest or back on the harness. See
the harness user manual. The other end of the line with
carabiner is connected to the anchoring point. Anchoring
elements (carabiners, connectors) must be used in
accordance with these instructions and with the applicable
carabiner standard EN 362 (fig. 7.1a). The recommended
weight of the user should not exceed 140 Kg. The exact
specifications of product can be found on the product
's production label and in the text on the product
packaging. All products considered PPE must be in
accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Declaration of
Conformity and the PPE review form can be found at www.
crestogroup.com (fig. 5.1a). WARNING! Training must be
provided before using the product.
3.) USE: The lanyard may only be used by a person who
is medically fit for this type of work, properly trained and
responsible for his actions, so if you do not meet any of the
requirements of the regulations for work at heights, do not
start work. If you do not have enough information or need
specific information, please contact the manufacturer's
representative in your area or CRESTO GROUP AB directly
at the address given in this manual. The device used in
accordance with the EN 353-2 standard can only be used
with PATRON 12 - Teufelberger ropes, which are made
of polyamide materials. The fall arrest system should
always be above the user's position, the minimum strength
anchored is 15 kN or certified as EN 795 and in the case
of textile anchorage points, the minimum strength is 18 kN.
Carefully check the secure connection with the carabiners
and anchor points, do not forget to adjust the length if
necessary or reduce the amount of slack. This product

is designed to be connected to an anchorage point. The
product has been certified with static rope PATRON 12 -
Teufelberger and we recommend using it only with this type
of rope. For use in a fall arrest system, it is necessary to
position the anchorage or anchorage point in such a way as
to minimize the likelihood of a fall and to limit the possible
length of the fall. Before each use, it is necessary to verify
the free space under the user so that in the event of a fall,
there is no collision with an obstacle or a fall to the ground.
WARNING! Make sure there is enough free space under
the workplace, in certain cases the distance can be up to
6 meters below the user if the absorber is fully activated.
Calculate the possible fall distance taking into account:
• height of the user;
• position of anchor points;
• Rope length (Fig. 6.1a);
• The length of the connecting part (Fig. 6.1c);
• A margin of + 1 m should also be taken into account.
• Different ropes can have different energy absorber
lengths.
The product must be used including a fall shock absorber.
In case of separation of the shock absorber from the
device, the shock absorber must not be used separately.
It is also not possible to replace the components that
are part of this device (does not apply to carabiners EN
362). The connecting part on the mobile arresting device
must not be extended (Fig. 6.1c). This product is intended
for use by one person only as a personal fall protection
device and must not be used for tying loads or other load
handling activities. It is also necessary to have a rescue
plan in place, which must take into account all emergency
situations at work. Never use this product for purposes
other than fall protection !!! Before use (preferably in
a safe place before ascent), check the individual parts
of the product, their integrity and proper function. Any
interventions in the construction or repairs by the customer
are prohibited. In case of rescue in the height, ask for
information and training from your employer (in the sense of
applicable health and safety regulations). We recommend
using the product agent in the temperature range from - 20
° C to + 60 ° C.
4.) MAINTENANCE: Clean the polluted product with warm
water (up to 40 ° C) with handwash cleaners (Fig. 2.1a). If
the product is dirty we strongly recommend do not disinfect
the product, because the material could be damaged. In
the event of rain or dampness, leave it to dry naturally in a
ventilated room away from a direct source of heat, fire or
sunlight. Clean the metal parts after cleaning and drying
with a suitable preparation.
5.) STORAGE: Store in dark, well ventilated areas
protected from UV radiation (Fig. 2.1a). This product must
not come into contact with corrosives, solvents and direct
heat sources. Do not store it with sharp objects. Transport
