1 General Advice
Dear Customer,
By prescribing the TLSO Hyperextensions Orthosis, your physician has given
you a valuable medical product which has been manufactured according to
the latest functional anatomic and orthopaedic developments and knowledge.
Please follow this instruction manual. This will help to ensure the
success of your therapy. Your health store or your attending phy-
sician will gladly answer any questions you might have regarding
the use of the TLSO Hyperextension Orthosis.
2 Mode of Action
• relieving and erecting function in the area of the lumbar spine and the
lower thoracic spine by means of three-point-principle
• limits movement of the upper body rotation and lateral inclination by the
frame construction
• the 3-point principle is realized by means of an anatomically shaped
lumbar pad, the ventral pelvis bar, and the sternum pad, all of which are
individually adjustable to the patient
2.1 Indication
• stable traumatic vertebral fractures (L5 - TH11)
• osteoporosis
2.2 Contraindication
• material interactions/allergies
• do not wear directly on injured, irritated or damaged skin
• thoracic morbus scheuermann
• flectional-traction lesion
