Adjusting the extension stop
„
The extension stop is adjusted using the adjustement screw. To do this, unlock the knee joint
and then bend it until the adjustment screw is visible (fig. 3). Turning the screw counter-
clockwise with a 4 mm allen key increases the hyperextension movement, turning it clockwise
reduces the hyperextension movement.
Reducing the hyperextension movement makes it more difficult for the lock to engage.
Exchanging the compressing spring

With the flat end of a screwdriver press the spring guide pin down until it disengages from the
axis pin slot (fig. 4).
Secure the spring with your thumb to prevent it from popping out!
Reinsertion:
Place the notch of the spring guide pin onto the axis pin. Push the head of the spring guide
housing up and into the receptacle in the lower joint section.
Compensating for mediolateral movement

Loosen the locking plate (1) with a 2,5 mm allen key. Adjust the axle nut (2) with an open-
ended spanner (size 17) and tighten the locking plate (fig. 5).
Maintenance and service
„
Generally, all moveable parts must be inspected visually and for functionality every 6 months;
all non-moveable structural parts every 12 months. For lubrication of the gliding metal-surfaces
of the Knee Joint we recommend the Joint grease Lubricant.
In the event of malfunctions, the product must be sent in for maintenance.
