tions. Charging improperly or at tempera‐
tures outside the specified range may dam‐
age the battery and increase the risk of fire.

Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replace‐
ment parts. This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained.
b) Never service damaged battery packs. Serv‐
ice of battery packs should only be per‐
formed by the manufacturer or authorized
service provider.
5.8
Shredder Vac Safety Warnings
a) Do not use the shredder vac bad weather
conditions, especially when there is a risk of
lightning. This increases the risk of being
struck by lightning.
b) Check the debris collector frequently for
wear or deterioration. A worn or damaged
debris collector may increase the risk of per‐
sonal injury.
c) Wear eye protection and ear protection. Ade‐
quate protective equipment will reduce the
risk of personal injury.
d) While operating the shredder vac, always
wear non-slip and protective footwear. Do
not operate the shredder vac when barefoot
or wearing open sandals. This reduces the
risk of injury to the feet.
e) Do not wear loose fitting clothing or articles
such as scarves, strings, chains, ties, etc.,
that could get drawn into the air inlets. Tie
back or cover long hair to make sure it does
not get drawn into the air inlets. If any of
these items are drawn into the air inlets, it
can increase the risk of personal injury.

g) Do not use in vacuum mode without the deb‐
ris collector in place. Thrown objects can
increase the risk of personal injury.
h) Do not use the shredder vac to pick up any‐

arettes, matches or hot ashes. These ignition
sources may increase the risk of fire.

Do not vacuum water or other liquids or
immerse any part of the shredder vac in liq‐

uid. Water entering the shredder vac may
increase the risk of electric shock.

Do not vacuum stones, gravel, metal or bro‐
ken glass. The fan wheel can get damaged
and may increase the risk of personal injury.
k) Do not touch the fan while still in motion.
Turn off the shredder vac and wait until the
fan stops before removing any part that may
give access to the fan. This reduces the risk
of injury from moving parts.

When clearing jammed material or servicing
the shredder vac, make sure the power
switch is off. Unexpected starting of the
shredder vac while clearing jammed material
or servicing may result in serious personal
injury.

Intended Use
WARNING
■ This shredder vac is used to vacuum materials
such as leaves, grass clippings and similar
swept material from yards, gardens, side‐
walks, driveways, decks, patios and compara‐
ble surfaces in the manner and in the condi‐
tions described in this manual. Use of the vac‐
uum shredder for operations different than
intended could result in serious injury or death.
– Never vacuum sharp or pointed objects
such as glass, metal wires, staples, nails
or other objects that could be thrown
through the fabric of the catcher bag.
