7� To Use
Inserting/Replacing Batteries
If the battery level indicator in the LCD Display flashes, the batteries are low and must
be replaced. Remove the Control Unit from the cradle on the belt before inserting or
replacing batteries.
1. Firmly pull the Control Unit up out of the the cradle.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
3. Insert three alkaline batteries observing the polarity markings inside the battery
compartment. Do not use rechargeable batteries in this device.
4. Replace battery compartment cover.
Attaching the Belt
WARNING
• To avoid serious personal injury, use the device only around the abdomen. Do not use on head,
neck, or chest area.
1. Before each training session, ensure the skin underneath the belt is clean and free of creams or oils.
2. Lay the belt down with the electrodes facing up.
3. Dampen the electrode covers and your stomach with water. Make sure that the electrodes are evenly
moistened to avoid voltage spikes during use.
4. Place the belt around your waist such that the electrodes are positioned
on your stomach and the Control Unit is over your navel, then fasten the
hook and loop closure. The belt should be tight enough for good contact
between the electrodes and skin, but not constricting.
NOTE:
• If the device is not used after it is switched on, it shuts off after five minutes.
• If the belt is not big enough for your waist measurement, the supplied belt extension can be used.
• Only attach the belt around the stomach. The navel should be covered at the center.
