∙ Apples, carrots, cucumber and celery,
among other things, produce a vitalising
juice.
∙ A delicious breakfast juice can be made
from grapefruits, carrots and apples.
∙ Bananas are not suitable for extraction,
as they contain very little juice.
∙ After cleaning, roughly cut up the fruit
or vegetables and remove any stones,
cores or seeds to prevent damage to the
appliance.
∙ To facilitate extraction, hard fruit and
vegetables such as carrots, fennel or
kohlrabi should be cut into smaller pieces.
Short-time operation
The appliance is designed for short-term
operation only, i.e. it should not be operated
continuously for more than 10 minutes. Allow
it to cool down for another 10 minutes, after
which it may be used again.
Thermal safety cut-out
The appliance has an integral safety cut-out
which protects it from overheating. Should
the cut-out have been activated, allow the
appliance to cool down to room temperature
before switching on again
Before using for the fi rst time
Before the appliance is used for the fi rst
time, it must be cleaned as described in the
section Cleaning and care.

Operation
∙ Fit the worm-drive housing into the drive
unit in such a way that the arrow symbol
on the worm-drive housing is aligned with
the open-lock symbol on the appliance.
∙ Turn anti-clockwise to lock, so that the
arrow faces the closed-lock symbol.
∙ Insert the worm-drive into the worm-
drive housing, sliding it all the way in; if
necessary, turn the worm-drive slightly.
∙ Place the juice fi lter with the wide end fi rst
onto the worm-drive and push it lightly on.
∙ Attach the end cover and turn anti-
clockwise to lock.
∙ Fit the fi lling guide onto the feeder tube.
∙ Position the juice container underneath the
juice outlet on the lower side of the worm-
drive housing.
∙ Place the pulp container below the pulp
discharge opening on the end cover.
∙ Insert the plug into the wall outlet.
∙ Set the switch to the ON position.
∙ A brief beep signal is heard, and the
appliance will start operating after a few
seconds.
∙ Feed the clean, pre-cut fruit or vegetable
pieces down the feeder tube while the unit
is running, using the pestle to push the
pieces lightly down. Caution: Excessive
pressure may result in damage to motor or
fi lter.
∙ Should there be a blockage during
operation, a beep signal is heard. In
this case, press the operating button for
reverse operation to remove the blockage.
∙ When processing large quantities of fruit or
vegetables, the pulp and juice containers
must be emptied from time to time, as
necessary.
∙ When the juice stops coming out, switch
the appliance off and remove the plug
