Chemical treatment
Chemical treatment, supplemental to physical care, is required for proper pool water maintenance.
3 operations are required for treating the water:
Adjusting the water's pH level using a test kit and pH corrector. The pH (potential hydrogen) indicates whether and how much the water is
acidic or alkaline. The ideal for pool water is to be between 7.2 and 7.4 because at lower values water becomes corrosive.
At higher values, water is alkaline and signi cantly decreases treatment action.
Combating algae using an anti-algae product.
Disinfecting the water using chlorinated products in order to destroy any microorganisms.
These treatment and monitoring operations should be performed at least once a week to ensure proper water quality.
WARNING
Tips
Place a container lled with water at the foot of the ladder so people can rinse their feet before getting into the pool.
A thermal cover (bubble cover) will allow you to enjoy your pool to the fullest since it will heat the water, avoid heat loss at night, prevent
leaves and insects from falling in the water and night, and prevent the chlorine from evaporating.

Filling and emptying

You should ll the pool so that the water level is at least in the middle of the skimmer.
We strongly recommend you do not completely drain the pool. If absolutely necessary, draining should not be performed during high
winds and should be performed as quickly as possible. You should not let a pool kit rest on the ground outdoors empty (risk of collapse).
Speci c Cases and Handling
During normal operations, weekly cleaning of your pool is su cient. However, you may encounter unusual problems that may be resolved
by following the recommendations in the table below.
Please note, all pool products are not necessarily compatible with each other.
To maintain your pool, do not use salt treatment (permanent damage to your ltration system).
Problem
Cloudy Water
Chlorine odour
Eye and nose irritation
Green water
Slippery walls and oor
Brown water
Rough walls
Black waterline
Never put chlorine pellets or cakes directly into the pool, as that would cause the would lead
deteriorate. Place them in the skimmer basket or other container provided for this purpose.
Cause
Hard water and presence of
suspended particles
pH too high.
Chloramine content too
high.
Chlorine content too low.
Signi cant algae formation
or proliferation
Algae proliferation
Presence of organic matter
Hard water
Presence of greasy deposits
on the waterline.
Solution
Adjust the pH
Place a occulating agent in the skimmer or
directly in the pool. Wash the lter (backwash
position) until the water discharged to the sewer
is clean.
Adjust the pH.
Shock with chlorine.
Wash the lter (backwash position)
Brush the walls and skimmer basket.
Adjust the pH.
Shock with a suitable agent.
Wash the lter or cartridge.
Remove the deposits with a brush or a robotic
cleaner.
Clean the pool and descale the lter with suitable
agents.
Adjust the pH.
Add a water hardness regulating agent.
NeClean the waterline with a speci c agent.
Place a occulating agent cartridge in the
skimmer basket.
