ScanTemp 450 – Infrared Thermometer
1. Before you start using it
• Please make sure to read the instruction manual care-
fully.
• Following and respecting the instructions in your manu-
al will prevent damage to your instrument and loss of
your statutory rights arising from defects due to incor-
rect use. We shall not be liable for any damage occur-
ring as a result of non-following of these instructions.
• Likewise, we take no responsibility for any incorrect
readings and for any consequences which may result
from them.
• Please take particular note of the safety advice!
• Please keep this instruction manual for future refer-
ence.
2. Field of operation and all the benefits
• The ScanTemp 450 infrared thermometer is a non-contact
infrared thermometer with Thermocouple connector.
For the infrared part, simply aim the thermometer at the
target and press the measurement button to display the
surface temperature in less than a second. Plug in the
specific thermocouple (not included), ScanTemp 450 may
take contact temperature as high as 1400 °C.
• The distance to target diameter ratio (field of view) is
12:1. For accurate reading, please make sure the target
size is smaller than the spot size.

4. Para su seguridad
• No emplee el dispositivo de modo distinto al especifica-
do en estas instrucciones.
• No está permitido realizar reparaciones, transformacio-
nes o modificaciones por cuenta propia en el dispositivo.
¡Precaución!
Riesgo de lesiones:
• No dirija el aparato hacia los ojos, ni
directa ni indirectamente.
• Mantenga el dispositivo y las pilas
fuera del alcance de los niños.
• No tire las pilas al fuego, no las corto-
circuite, desmonte ni recargue, ya que
existe riesgo de explosión.
• Las pilas contienen ácidos nocivos para
la salud. Las pilas con un estado de
carga bajo deben cambiarse lo antes posible para evitar
fugas. No utilice simultáneamente pilas nuevas y usadas
o pilas de diferente tipo. Utilice guantes protectores
resistentes a productos químicos y gafas protectoras si
manipula pilas con fugas de líquido!
• Extraiga la pila si no va a usar el dispositivo por un largo
período de tiempo.

EMC/RFI
• Cualquier influencia electromagnética de importancia
(> 3 voltios) puede dar lugar a divergencias en la medi-
ción. El aparato, no obstante, no resultará dañado.
• No exponga el dispositivo a temperaturas extremas,
vibraciones ni sacudidas extremas.
• Guarde el aparato entre -20 ºC y +65 ºC.
• Mantenga siempre limpia la lente (la óptica IR).
• La lente es muy importante para la medición. Límpiela
única y exclusivamente con un paño de algodón suave
ligeramente humedecido con agua o alcohol sanitario.
