Important !
If you try the system before installing it, make sure the street unit and the monitor are not in the same room,
otherwise the videophone will emit piercing feedback noise.
a. Connection of videophone
Use the following wires:
1. Connect the wires securely following the wiring diagram (fig 5).
2. To connect the video camera, only 4 wires are needed for all the functions: chime, video image, intercom.
Caution :
Under no circumstances should the wired be doubled to make them thicker
Ensure that the colour coding of the wires is maintained when connecting the screen and the outdoor video camera
•Terminal "1" on the screen to terminal "1" of the video camera.
•Terminal "2" on the screen to terminal "2" of the video camera.
•Terminal "3" on the screen to terminal "3" of the video camera.
•Terminal "4" on the screen to terminal "4" of the video camera.
b. Connecting an electric latch or lock
Connect the lock directly to terminals 7 and 8 on the back of the monitor (no colour coding).
Note that this function is only valid when the screen is switched on. The image disappears briefly when the com-
mand is transmitted.
Important :
It is essential that the electric latch or lock installed has a mechanical memory like all products
marketed by Extel.
c. Connecting a gate opener
Connect the gate motor directly to terminals 5 and 6 on the back of the monitor. The monitor constitutes a dry
contact without power for the "push button" command of the automatic control.
Note that this function is only valid when the screen is switched on.
