Operation
Filling the aquarium
CAUTION! Material damage.
▶ Do not use hard objects or cleaning agents for cleaning.
1. Before filling, thoroughly clean the aquarium with warm water and a soft, clean sponge.
2. Decorate the aquarium with gravel, stones, plants, etc.
CAUTION! Material damage.
▶ When filling the aquarium, please always pay attention to the water level in the filter basin.
The aquarium is equipped with the "silent outflow shaft" that EHEIM has developed. The water level in
the aquarium is constructively determined and is always at least 15 mm below the LED light.
3. Slowly fill the aquarium with water. When the aquarium has been filled with enough water, the water
begins to flow into the filter basin through the inflow pipe.
4. Continue filling the aquarium with water until the feed pump in the filter basin is completely covered
(approx. 18 cm).
Switching on the pump
1. Insert the mains plug in the mains socket. Attention: The pump starts immediately!
Switching off the pump
1. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Adjusting the water level height
The water level must be adjusted once after the aquarium has been filled. Bothersome running noises are
avoided through water backlogging. To do so, proceed as follows:
1. Switch the feed pump on.
2. Close the drain pipe valve g (⌦G).
3. Wait until the water rises in the shaft and runs through the emergency overflow standpipe.
4. Open the valve slowly and gradually, and note the effect on the water level in the shaft. The water
level will fall slightly, or will persist.
5. Lower the water level by 3 - 6 cm from the upper edge of the emergency overflow pipe.
6. Close the valve until the water level remains constant.
7. Check the water level in the filter basin. If necessary, add more water.
Switching the LED light on/off
1. To switch on the LED light, insert the power supply unit's mains plug into the mains socket.
2. To switch off the LED light, pull out the power supply unit's mains plug.
