7.4 Servicing
Before starting any work on the linear unit, any electrical drives used are to be pro-
tected against accidental switching on.
All linear units are provided in the factory with the required lubricant quantities. Servicing inter-
vals are dependent on the hours run, the stressing and environmental factors.
Lubrication is applied directly to spindles.
Lubricant recommendation: off the shelf roller bearing greases, which must not be mixed with
each other.
Lubricating interval: every 200-500 hours run
7.5 Shutting down/dismantling
Before starting any work on the linear unit, any electrical drives used are to be pro-
tected against accidental switching on.
If a linear unit is installed in an oblique or vertical position, the guidance slide drive must be se-
cured against slipping during dismantling. The system is to be freed from any loads or forces.
Following a collision, the tapped spindle, guide nut, track rail guide and guide carriage have to be
replaced – even if there is no visible damage. Spare parts information is to be taken from the spa-
re parts list for the relevant linear unit type.
7.6 Disposal and returns
The linear unit must either be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way according to the ap-
plicable policies and regulations, or returned to the manufacturer.
The manufacturer reserves the right to charge for disposing of this linear unit.
