Using special service tool.
Note the following points:
1. For ease of reassembly and adjustment,
keep shim packs in their groups as
removed.
2. If a bearing carrier or bearing race is diffi-
cult to remove, warm the part with a gas-
torch.
3. To remove an oil-seal and bearing, follow-
ing the instructions in the illustrations.
4. Replace any bearing which shows signs of
damage on inspection.
