Do not smoke during the below work. Do no work in
the vicinity of sparks, flames or open fire.
Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
Changing the oil (fig. A & C)
The oil must be changed after the first 20 operating hours,
and then after every 100 hours or 6 months.
Remove the cover (11).
I
Place a receiving bin under the bleeding point.
I
Remove the dipstick (6) from the filling-point.
I
Remove the screw (12) from the bleeding-point.
I
Tilt the machine slightly forwards to remove all oil.
I
Re-insert the screw (12) and tighten it securely.
I
Fill the crankcase with the prescribed amount of oil.
I
Replace the dipstick.
I
Replace the cover.
I
Checking the oil level (fig. A)
Check the oil level before starting the motor.
Remove the dipstick (6) from the filling-point.
I
Clean the dipstick.
I
Insert the dipstick into the filling hole for a few seconds before
I
pulling it out again.
Check the oil-level. The oil level should be at a rate between
I
full and empty.
If the level is below this mark, refill the oil.
I
Cleaning the air filter (fig. D)
The air filter should be cleaned after every 50 operating hours.
Remove the screws (13).
I
Lift the side (14) from the machine.
I
Remove the screws (15) and the bracket (16).
I
Remove the air filter (17) from the holder.
I
Clean the air filter with spirits or ethanol.
I
Pinch the air filter out. Do not twist!
I
Immerse the filter in clean motor oil.
I
Pinch the filter out and mount it into place.
I
Replace the side using the screws.
I
Cleaning the fuel filter (fig. E)
Remove the lid (4) from the filler opening.
I
Lift the fuel filter (18) from the filler opening.
I
Clean the filter with spirits or ethanol.
I
Dry the filter with a soft cloth.
I
Replace the filter in the filler opening.
I
Place the lid back on the filler opening.

Checking the spark plug (fig. F & G)
Remove the cover (19).
I
Remove the spark plug cable (20) from the spark plug.
I
Remove the spark plug (21) using the spark plug spanner.
I
Clean the electrode (22) using a steel brush.
I
Check the contact distance (correct value 0.7 - 0.8 mm) and
I
adjust as necessary.
Replace the spark plug.
I
Replace the cover.
I
TROUBLE-SHOOTING
If the machine is not working properly, take the following steps
to correct the problem. If you cannot correct it yourself,
contact your dealer.

Engine does not start
I
Check if the fuel tap is open.

Check if there is fuel in the tank.
I
Check that the on/off switch is in the "ON" position.

Pull harder on the start cord.
I
Check if the spark plug is properly placed.
I
Check if the spark plug cable is on the spark plug.
I
Clean the spark plug and check the contact distance.
Motor runs irregularly
I
Check if the spark plug is properly placed.
I
Check if the spark plug cable is on the spark plug.
I
Clean the spark plug and check the contact distance.
I
Check if the right fuel has been used.
Generator supplies no energy
If the indicator lamp (2) is not on, there is a defect that you cannot correct yourself.
Contact your dealer.
If the indicator lamp is on:

Press the reset button belonging to the output used.
I
Check the wiring.
I
Check if there has been a short circuit or an overload.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
If the machine is out of use for a longer period of time, the fuel
tank must be emptied and the oil must be changed.
Empty the fuel tank.

Change the oil.
I
Cover the machine and place it in a clean an dry environment.
