Switching the Hedge Trimmer on :
The hedge trimmer is fitted with a two-handed safety device (2 start

buttons) to prevent the unit from being turned on by accident.
1.
Push the battery onto the handle (see 5. Initial Operation).
2.
Remove the protective cover (10) from the cutter blade (11).

Hold the guide handle (1) with one hand and press the start
button (S1).
4.
Hold the main handle (12) with the other hand and press the
S2
start button (S2). The hedge trimmer will start.

Switching the Hedge Trimmer off :
1.
Release the two handles (1) and (12).
2.
Slide the protective cover (10) over the cutter blade (11).
3.
Remove the battery from the product (see 5. Initial Operation)
The hedge trimmer must be stored out of the reach of children.

Clean the hedge trimmer (see 8. Maintenance) and slide the
protective cover (10) over the cutter blade (11).
3.
Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, frost free place.

must be disposed of in line with local environmental regulations.
Important : Make sure that the unit is disposed of via your
municipal recycling collection centre.
The GARDENA Cordless Hedge Trimmer contains NiMH batteries
that should not be discarded with normal household waste at the
NimH
end of their life.
Important:
Please return the NiMH batteries to your GARDENA dealer or
dispose of them properly at a public recycling centre.

Discharge NiMH batteries completely.
2.
Dispose of NiMH batteries properly.

If the Hedge Trimmer does not switch off automatically,
there is a risk of lacerations.
