Getting Connected and Installing Drivers (Macintosh)

Before you install the driver

Here's the procedure for installing a single UM-3EX.
If you're using Mac OS X, you can simultaneously connect up to three UM-3EX units to a single
Macintosh via USB.
* Connection of multiple units is supported only in Mac OS X. For details, refer to "Connecting multiple
UM-3EX units" (p. 42).
* Depending on your system, the second or subsequent unit may not be usable depending on the limitations
imposed by the CPU processing speed, hard disk, memory, and the performance of your software.
Cautions when connecting
Set the MODE select switch and the UNIT number select switch before you connect the UM-3EX
to your Macintosh.

* Don't change the setting of the MODE select switch or UNIT number select switch while the UM-3EX
is connected to your computer. You must first disconnect the UM-3EX from your Macintosh. Then, after
you've changed the settings of its switches, you can reconnect it to your Macintosh.
