The rear panel of the unit contains a vacuum/water distributor. A central cooling water supply
optionally works with:
1 chiller ; 1 chiller plus 1 after-chiller, or 2 chillers. Refer to picture when connecting the water
hoses (ID=8 mm). Hoses are routed in the chiller panel and attached to the chiller with hose
nipples. Inlet flow control uses a ball valve (4). When using 2 chillers, open ball valve (5) (lever in-
line); when using 1 only chiller, close ball valve (6) (lever out-of-line). The same applies to the
coolant return network. When using 2 chillers, open ball valve (6) (lever in-line), using 1 only chiller,
close ball valve (6) (lever out-of-line).
Connect #1 chiller with the fittings (13). Coolant return is connected with fitting (15).
Vacuum pump is connected with vacuum fitting (7) (shown with optional vacuum valve), use ID = 8
mm vacuum hose). Connect vacuum distributor with fitting (8) on glass kit. Vacuum hose is routed
in the chiller panel to glass kit fitting and attached with screwed nipples. The built-in aerating valve
(9) is controlled from the control panel.
The aerating valve (9) is connected with #3 terminal connector (6-pin) (11).
Water refill solenoid valve (12) is connected with the lower terminal connector (4-pin) (10).
The cooling coils of the cooler may only be exposed to a maximum cooling water
pressure of 2 bar. So that higher pressure can never develop, no valve and no
restrictor may be installed in the cooling water return.
Always secure the cooling water hoses with hose clamps!
38. Pt100 temperature sensor, chiller
For T auto mode, a chiller Pt100 temperature sensor needs to be connected with terminal
connector (1).
