f Turn the CALTOOL clockwise to increase the tension force or anti-clockwise to reduce
the tension force.
f Replace the cap.
f Turn the CALTOOL clockwise to tighten the cap.

8 Maintenance

The application tool is largely maintenance-free.

9 Repairs

NOTICE
The application tool can be damaged when opening the housing, making changes to the components or if
repairs are carried out incorrectly.
f Tool only to be repaired by authorised personnel.
Repair work must only be carried out by the manufacturer or persons authorised by the
manufacturer. This also includes opening the application tool and changing components or
functions.

9 .1 Replacing the blade

The blade should always be changed when the cable tie can no longer be cut-off neatly or easily.
CAUTION
The blade is sharp and could cause injury.
f Unscrew the nose piece screw
f Remove the nose piece
f Carefully remove the blade
f Insert a new and undamaged blade of the same size and design (see section "Spare parts and
accessories"). Observe the correct installation direction. The installation direction is specified by the
bevelled corner

f Replace the nose piece.
f Tighten the screw for the blade holder.

10 Withdrawing from operation

When used for its intended purpose, the application tool will perform continuously without issues.
Should the tool need to be withdrawn from operation, it must be disposed of correctly in
accordance with the countryspecific disposal guidelines.
