A1 GENERALITY

A1.1 BravaDOS scope and not recommended uses
BravaDOS is an electronic volumetric dosing pump used to dose in drinking water the anti-scaling anti-
corrosive AcquaSIL 20/40
concentration lower than 5 ppm. AcquaSIL 20/40
which helps to prevent the formation of scale and corrosion products in waterworks, boiler, washing
machines, dishwashing machines. Any use not covered in this manual is not recommended.

A1.5 BravaDOS operation
BravaDOS is an electronic self-priming metering pump. Once connected to the electricity grid, the operation
of BravaDOS is automatically activated by the passage of water. The dosage of AcquaSIL 20/40
proportional to the water flow rates for withdrawals between the and maximum flow rates (see table in
paragraph A1.7). For water flows below the minimum the pump do not operate, for flow rates exceeding the
maximum the dosage of AcquaSIL 20/40
®
20/40 is not possible.
The level of AcquaSIL 20/40
emits an audible alarm signal when the liquid level is too low. In this case the pump is automatically stopped
and brought in stand-by position. When the minimum level is reached the refilling of the storage tank is
required. A too low level of AcquaSIL 20/40
however, the water distribution system is no longer protected against scale and corrosion.
